Launched in 2013, the award supports the growth of the UAE visual arts scene by awarding emerging Emirati artists for outstanding work.

Launched in 2019, the award contributes to empowering cultural industries and enhancing the contribution of young designers from the UAE to artistic renaissance, creativity and development by providing training and vocational guidance opportunities that contribute and help young people embark on their professional experiences towards professionalism.

The Award recognises creative excellence among youth in the performing arts. Submissions are open to individuals and groups who create an outstanding performance piece in the genre of music, dance, or theatre. Finalists will have the exciting opportunity to perform before a live audience and compete for a 20k AED cash prize.

Applications will be opened in August 2023.

Presented in partnership with New York University Abu Dhabi, the award gives UAE undergraduates and recent graduates the chance to create a work of art that, in the spirit of Christo and Jeanne-Claude’s work, can be publicly exhibited and enjoyed.

Recognising outstanding innovation and achievement by young Emiratis in the fields of sustainable design and architecture, the competitive 10k AED award seeks to nurture potential and creative talent by providing a launch pad for emerging designers and architects across the UAE. Submissions should address at least one of sustainability’s three main pillars: economic, environmental, and social with the winning work to be displayed as part of Abu Dhabi Festival.

Applications will be opened in August 2023.
