What are your beliefs and the message you want to convey?
eL Seed: I try to use art as a tool to bring people, culture and generations together. I don’t have a particular message I want to convey. I write messages that are relevant to the place where I am painting but have a universal dimension so anyone around the world can relate to it.
How do you see arts helping in overcoming hard times?
eL Seed: Art helps us reconnect as human and also to reconnect with our humanity, it’s a bridge between people and nations.
What do you see that is common in humanity?
eL Seed: Today, in the time of Covid 19, I would say our vulnerability. In a normal time, I would say our sensitivity and Art brings us to our common humanity by creating an emotion within us.
What does this partnership and opportunity means to you?
eL Seed: The partnership was a great opportunity to connect with a wider audience in a time where all physical interaction were limited. It was an uplifting experience as we were all sharing a moment of humanity, compassion and art.
In your words how do you interpret “Culture is humanity”?
eL Seed: I would not use my words but the words from the French writer Malraux who resume perfectly my thoughts. He said : ‘Art is the shortest path from one human being to another human being’
What is the best piece of advice you can give an emerging artist or a young person who is considering becoming an artist?
eL Seed: Believe in your dreams, express yourself and thank the people who tell you that you are taking the wrong path.
