On 1 December, H.E. Huda Alkhamis-Kanoo, Founder of Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation (ADMAF) and Founder and Artistic Director of Abu Dhabi Festival, delivered a lecture on her life and legacy at the Shaikh Ebrahim Bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa Center for Culture and Research in Bahrain.
Speaking to a full audience, Her Excellency reflected on how her early years in Beirut and Paris, and later her life in Abu Dhabi, shaped her lifelong dedication to empowering communities through arts, culture and education.
She highlighted the sense of responsibility that inspired her to establish ADMAF in 1996 and to launch Abu Dhabi Festival in 2004, initiatives that strive to nurture young talent, support artistic expression and build bridges across cultures. She spoke of how life and legacy for her extend far beyond institutions: they reflect her belief in empowering youth, elevating Arab creativity and championing culture as a living, evolving force capable of shaping identity and fostering connection.
