ADMAF Spiritual Series: Poetry and Longing

As part of ADMAF’s Spiritual Series, Poetry and Longing – «الشعر والأشواق» – is an exclusive virtual performance marking the holy month of Ramadan. Led by Sheikh Mahmoud El Tohamy, one of the most prominent figures in spiritual chanting in the Arab world, it brings together spiritual poetry, Sufi inshad and sacred music, drawing on a selection of his newest poems and musical compositions to offer an enriching artistic experience that bridges tradition and contemporary creativity. Exploring themes of divine love and prophetic praise, the programme also includes the participation of poets Gamal Bekheit and Abdullah Hassan, appearing together for the first time in an intergenerational poetic dialogue.
