ADMAF signs MoU with Bassam Freiha Art Foundation

H.E. Huda Alkhamis-Kanoo, Founder of Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation (ADMAF) and Abu Dhabi Festival, and H.E. Bassam Said Freiha, Founder of Bassam Freiha Art Foundation, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 9 December, marking a new chapter between two kindred cultural institutions of Abu Dhabi.

The MoU tells a story of shared vision and solidarity, together standing hand in hand to imagine new possibilities for Abu Dhabi – shaping new cultural paths, empowering our youth and enriching the artistic soul of our nation.

Her Excellency Huda Alkhamis-Kanoo, Founder of Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation (ADMAF), and Founder and Artistic Director of Abu Dhabi Festival, praised the significant role of the Bassam Freiha Art Foundation as the first private arts institution within Abu Dhabi’s Saadiyat Cultural District, and as a guardian of an Orientalist art collection nurtured for over fifty years. She said:

“I deeply value the achievements of this pioneering institution, with whom we share a firm belief in the importance of creating a space where art transcends time and place, igniting the passion of future generations and affirming the arts as a pillar that empowers cultural renaissance and sustains civilisation.”

H.E. continued:

“We gather to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between our two institutions in the spirit of the UAE’s celebration of 2025 as the Year of Community, reflecting our dedication to nurturing talent, cultivating dialogue and enhancing the role of the arts within the community. Guided by the spirit of solidarity and giving, we stand together, united in our belief in the power of creativity and in our commitment to supporting artists in the UAE, the region, and the world.”
