The award invites submissions for an original, not yet created, jewelry design. ⁤⁤ADMAF and L’ÉCOLE School of Jewelry Arts evaluate based on the following elements – consider each in your application: 

⁤Design:

When designing the piece, think about the following questions:

• Is the design meant to symbolise something or represent a specific idea or object?
• Does the design take inspiration from a certain time period or place? For example, does it have a historical or cultural style?
• Explain what influenced your choices as you designed the piece. This could include: Specific design elements you referred to and the overall reason behind creating the piece
• What is the purpose of the piece? How will it be used?

Materials:

• What materials did you use in your design? Why did you choose these materials?

⁤Savoir-Faire: ⁤

• “Savoir-faire” is a French term that means “know-how.” In the luxury jewelry world, it refers to the special skills and knowledge needed to make high-quality, one-of-a-kind pieces.
• If your design is chosen, you will get the chance to work with some of the world’s best craftspeople. In your application, please share your ideas about: The steps involved in making your piece; The tools that might be used; The techniques that could be applied; Also, tell us about any relevant skills or techniques you have learned and used in your work.

⁤Financial Feasibility: ⁤

• The ADMAF Jewelry Design Award supports both creative excellence and business development. In your application, consider the business model behind your collection.

Your submission should thoughtfully integrate design, technical expertise, material selection, and commercial considerations. Pay careful attention to these critical areas to create a standout application.

Complete the application form and include the following documents:

• Business Model Canvas
• Any supporting documents (e.g., plans, sketches) that strengthen the entry.

By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

• The competition is free to enter.
• Applicants must be 21 years old and over.
• Only completed entries will be accepted.
• Competition entrants will not receive payment for their entries.
• The entries are only accepted by individuals not groups
• In entering the Award, applicant warrants that their entry is completely original under his/her own creation, all content therein is accurate and lawful, and does not contain material that is harmful, libelous or defamatory to, or material that may infringe the right of, any person or entity in any nature. The applicant will be obliged to indemnify any damage ADMAF may suffer as a result of any inconsistency to the foregoing.
• Applicants will retain ownership of copyright for their entry. After submission to the competition, ADMAF has the right to use the nominated work in connection with the competition. ADMAF has the right to copy, display, publish and make available all nominated work in any format (whether online or in print or otherwise) in connection with the competition.
• The jury selects one winner and two finalists, and their decision is final.
• The winner and finalists will ensure to be physically present to attend the timelines as stipulated above.
• While ADMAF & L’ÉCOLE Middle East will make travel arrangements for the winner to Paris, the winner must ensure they possess valid travel documents to France and will do so at their own merit.
• The nominator will facilitate the winning applicant’s attendance and participation in the Award Ceremony during Abu Dhabi Festival 2026.
• The winner agrees to appear in all photography and film associated with the award and will be requested to sign a waiver accordingly.
• The winner agrees to exhibit their work during any activity taking place in Abu Dhabi Festival 2026 or any other activity organized by ADMAF or L’ÉCOLE Middle East during 2025/2026.
• The winner agrees to join the ADMAF Alumni and contribute to the promotion of future editions of the award.
• The winner must claim the prize within 12 months of receipt.
• The applicant’s contact details will be added to the ADMAF database to receive future updates from the Foundation.
• Payment will be provided in installments dependent on meeting agreed milestones and targets set between the winner and their mentor/coach.
• The applicant warrants that their entry is entirely original, has not been previously submitted to any other competition, published, or sold. Entries that do not meet this requirement will be disqualified.
• ADMAF reserves the right to disqualify any entry that does not comply with these terms or is deemed inappropriate or not in the spirit of the competition.
• By entering, the applicant consents to ADMAF using their personal information in accordance with applicable data protection laws for the purposes of administering the competition and promoting future events.
